Why can't Washington get Immigration between the American Continents right. All Lawmakers need to understand is that the current immigration situation is pathetic. It is so in terms of National Policy and American Dream.
Every day hundreds of Latinos attempt to come across the border. Many of them bring with them their life savings in an attempt to build a better life for themselves and their families. hanging out in the border areas are nasty people. people who have no care for human life, whose only desire is self gratification at any cost and see these border areas as easy hunting grounds to plunder, extort, murder, rape women and children, and kidnap children to be sold into sexual slavery both here and abroad.
These people with a dream for a better life come very near to that only to have it torn away from them in a very brutal manner.
This is a Humanitarian Crisis both sides of the Isle need to be concerned with this issue. These are Human beings that need our help but those in Washington would rather use it as a political issue to get re-elected.
The borders need to be secured and those who are in our country need to be accounted for. There is a major potential for Terrorists to cross into our country. Since 9/11, 1 in 10 people rounded up by the Border patrol on the Mexican USA border is of Arab descent before that time it was 1 in 10,000. Shouldn't this strike us a odd? We engage in two wars with Arab nations and all of a sudden their people start to illegally immigrate here. That is a problem. I'm not saying Arabs are terrorists, I have many good friends who are Arabs. I'm simply stating that some could very possibly be independent Agents for their home countries wishing to harm our country.
Once the borders are secure and the Coyotes shut down, America needs to make it easier for the good men and women of the earths nations to come to America and make a better life for themselves. We will need to streamline the process so that we can as the song says "Crown thy good with brotherhood." Once here they need to be on a program of assimilation that Americanizes them. Once they have been determined Americanized they can then become citizens of their new country. As the old song goes, "The Old acquaintance be forgot keep our eye on the grand old flag." This doesn't mean them entirely losing their culture it just means that they realign align their loyalties and affections. If they are not loyal and affectionate to their country they can go back from whence they came.
